This Xinjiang Province, western Chinese carpet shows a desirable straw field centred by a square enclosing a stellate motif, and with vases and pomegranate trees at each end and wrapping around the field sides. Triangular fret corners. Sand border with rosettes and bud sprays. Cotton foundation, medium workshop weave.
