An unbelievably beautiful and rare late 19th century Persian Serapi rug with one of the most beautiful patterns we've ever seen in this style rug. A small central floral medallion is surrounded by stylized swirling and scrolling vines and woven in light and dark indigo, pale yellow, pink, and white vegetable dyed wool set against a stunning abrash crimson background and surrounded by a remarkable border containing a wide central stripe with a large-scale floral and scrolling vine pattern flanked by pairs of petite floral patterned stripes.
