A stunning and rare late 19th century Persian Sultanabad rug with the most wonderful central floral medallion living amidst a field of more stylized flowers all woven in brilliant cranberry, light indigo, pink, and gold, and set against a rare chartreuse green background. The border is wide with a repeated floral and scrolling vine pattern flanked by petite floral patterned stripes.
