About the Item
A Heriz of higher Serapi grade, this NW Persian piece shows a red field harbouring an 11 part pole medallion of lozenges enclosing smaller, hooked similars. Small animals cavort in the lateral field reserves. The main ivory border shows connected serrated leaves and bracketed rosettes. Minors in red or blue with stars and slanted bars. Medium/moderate weave. Natural dyes. Good condition. A very attractive kenare for the right space.
