About the Item
A sand border of chains of palmettes, flowers and rosettes, sets off the closely set seven column repeating pattern of garden squares, single and double pent roof motives and red reserves in this Chahar Mahal village piece. Moderate/medium weave on cotton, with a slightly less saturated palette than most Bakhtiari type weavings. Good condition, but slight end reduction.
