About the Item
A vintage Persian Tabriz room size city rug handmade during the mid-20th century. The double octagram medallion, diamond border, and other motifs are influenced by tribal rugs, primarily Caucasian, but the execution is totally in the Persian Tabriz city carpet style - everything is in unison and symmetric; whatever you see on the left, you see exactly on the right. The earth tone palette includes a light brown field and everything else in charcoal.
