About the Item
A vintage Persian Gabbeh rug from the mid-20th century. This south Persian Qashqai nomadic large scatter has a black field with corner rosettes, supporting a lightly abrashed (natural color variations) red subfield with a black and salmon pendanted simple medallion. Rosettes decorate the sub-field, medallion and the ivory border. Many Gabbehs employ undyed sheep colors, but this visually dynamic example has a wide dye palette.
