About the Item
Measuring 3’ x 5’, this contemporary Persian carpet is hand-knotted with all-natural handspun wool. The traditional Persian weaving techniques used to create this carpet provide a plush lanolin-rich pile as well as a durable and functional foundation. The bright tones of orange, green, gold, and black originate from organic vegetable dyes, preferred by weavers for their vibrant and fade-resistant qualities. The neutral cream tone is from the natural shades of undyed wool, cultivated from Orley Shabahang’s very own Persian fat-tailed sheep. The modern design features alternating triangles arranged side by side and repeated on a diagonal, creating a visually layered effect. This piece measures exactly 3’ x 5’, and is the perfect anchor for a bedroom, an entryway, or any living space wherever small carpeting is needed.
