Handwoven in wool, this 11x22 antique Persian Kerman rug originating circa 1920-1930, is a masterpiece from one of the most sought-after weaving traditions in Persian city rugs.
On the Design:

The play of medallion and all over style has yielded this fabulous, almost Neoclassical look, very unexpected yet so regal in its execution. A brilliant ruby red underscores cartouches, sweeping garlands, palmettes, and many other floral patterns in an impressive range of colors, with cream and blue tones especially present.
