Measures: 10'11 x 13'10.
This Persian Mahal rug (circa 1930) relies heavily on exquisite details as well as large-scale flowers and palmettes. A fine trellis of beautifully colored large and small flowers sprawls across the red field and surrounds a central medallion, with alternating rhythms of colors. Crisply drawn palmettes, flowers and serrated leaves imbue the rug with a beautiful articulation of pattern.
