Reza is the founder of Persian Signature, a family-run atelier based in the United Kingdom, dedicated to the enduring art of Persian rug weaving. Originally from Persia, Reza comes from a long line of master weavers and artists. His deep reverence for this ancient craft is rooted in childhood memories of rugs being designed, knotted, and polished by hand, each step filled with meaning, precision, and a wealth of generational knowledge. Specialising in luxury silk rugs, Persian Signature focuses on finely detailed motifs, classical Persian symbolism, and a modern sense of harmony. The atelier’s rugs are crafted using pure natural silk and feature traditional techniques including handwoven roots, hand-sewn zigzag finishes, and hand-polished surfaces. These details ensure not only a distinctive aesthetic but also exceptional longevity and tactile richness. While Reza’s formal academic background is in engineering and materials science, his artistic education was shaped in the family workshop, immersed in the stories, designs, and visual language of Persian heritage. His work is influenced by classical Safavid and Qajar motifs, Persian miniature painting, calligraphy, and the symbolic use of flora and geometry in Islamic art. Each rug is conceived as a visual narrative: a blend of historical pattern and contemporary expression.
