About the Item

A unique early 20th century Central Asian pictorial Khotan rug with six panels, each depicting a blossoming tree woven in a different color of vegetable dyed wool. The border is fantastic with an inner stripe containing Chinese Shou characters, and an outer stylized Lingzi, or auspicious mushroom, patterned stripe border.
