About the Item
This west Persian gallery rug shows an abrashed blue green and grey field decorated with a single line of octofoil-style medallions defined by edges in rust forked arabesques. Bend stems, rosettes, palmettes and leaves provide a busy background. Reversing long-arm turtles, rosettes and "fish" leaves on tan. Moderate weave on cotton, fairly good condition. Rust accents.
