About the Item
This vintage Belouch Persian carpet, circa 1940 in pure handspun and organic vegetable dyes exhibits a Nakhsh-e Samovari, or allover Samovar design, with exotic birds and floral motifs. Belouch carpets are known for their vibrant colors, as showcased by this piece. Originating near Zahedan, this carpet displays a rich coloration of red, pink, orange, gold and green. An array of birds decorates the field, while floral motifs make up the border. This carpet measures 4’9” x 8’8” and it is in excellent vintage condition.
