This vintage 7x10 Persian kilim is a panel-woven tribal rug of Bakhtiari provenance. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960.

The field hosts vertical stripes alternating in beige and chocolate brown variations with a natural, minimalist vibe. This simple, subdued design calls back to one of the most archaic flat weave traditions in Persian rugs, and sits gorgeous in vast applications today. This is a comfortable and livable piece, and furthermore an exemplar of its kind.
