About the Item
In this listing you will find an attractive Persian rug with boteh motif. The boteh motif, known in the West as the "paisley" pattern, is a widely recognized design found in traditional carpets, textiles, and ceremonial clothing across the Middle East and South Asia. In Persian culture, it often symbolizes growth and regeneration, or the cypress tree, representing eternal life and resilience. It can also represent a flame, linked to divine energy and purification. Hand-woven in Afghanistan in the 1960s.
Rug is in very good vintage condition.
