About the Item
Vintage Persian Hamadan Wide Runner, a truly magnificent and colorful hand-knotted piece. Woven to endure, this runner boasts a full pile that ensures it can stand up to heavy traffic, promising many years of dedicated service in your home. Its versatility allows it to function beautifully as either a gallery rug or a substantial wide runner.
The rug features a brilliant navy blue field, providing a deep and inviting canvas for its intricate designs. Five striking axial medallions, rendered in harmonious shades of luminous ivory, serene blue, and warm tan, punctuate the length of the runner, creating a rhythmic visual flow. Adding to its unique character, the field also showcases charming bird motifs, reminiscent of the distinctive designs found in Karabagh and Karajah runners from the Caucasus and Northwest Persia regions, offering a fascinating cross-cultural aesthetic.
The entire village design is elegantly framed by a contrasting dark red border, which beautifully complements the navy blue field and ties the composition together.
