Hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Hamadan carpet runner featuring an all-over geometric design on a saturated red field enclosed by three small borders. Showcasing three medallions along the centre and a Persian vase is located between the quarter panels. The jewel-tone color palette consists of: Red, ivory, teal, aqua, blue, pink, orange and brown. The abrashed field features an all-over Herati pattern. The Classic Herati design, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish.
