About the Item
Persian Karadja rugs and runners are woven in the northwestern part of the country in a small village. These rugs are usually produced in runner formats, but room-size carpets are woven here as well. They are influenced by the designs and colorations of the carpets woven in the nearby town of Heriz. The runners usually have a repeat pattern of geometric medallions on either a blue or red field. This runner has a dramatic auburn colored field that is framed by a rosette border. In excellent overall condition, 11' 1" x 2' 10".
