This 7x10 antique Turkish rug of Hereke provenance is a rich and exciting new curation from Rug
Kilim’s collection of important classics—a particularly unique find among works of a celebrated weaving tradition, made with hand-knotted wool, circa 1900-1910.
On the Design:
A distinguished Hereke rug showcasing the quintessential medallion-and-corner design that epitomizes classical Turkish carpet designs. Connoisseurs will appreciate the masterful organization of the field, where a sophisticated central medallion in rich terracotta and gray tones provides a focal point against the cream-ivory ground.
