This vintage 5 x 10 Persian kilim is a mid-century tribal rug, handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.
The design enjoys stripes alternating in tones of red, green, gold, blue, and white with black accents. Its technique, connoisseurs will note, is a panel-weave, in which multiple pieces form a larger flat weave. This is a time-honored traditional style that yields some of the most colorful pieces in mid-century Persian Kilims.
This vintage Persian Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
