About the Item
In this listing you will find a gorgeous vintage hand-woven Luri rug. The designs suggest an origin in the Anatolian (Turkish) or neighboring Caucasian/Persian regions, particularly the Kurdish tribal areas. Kurdish rugs are often discussed together with Persian carpets, but they often use the Turkish symmetrical knot and typically feature geometric designs. It features star shaped motifs on a red field. Made in Anatolia or Caucasus in the 1950s.
The rug is in good vintage condition with some signs of time and use.
