Crafts Style 09'09 X 13'00 From Esmaili Rugs Collection. This hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Mahal area rug features a classic all-over Herati pattern across an abrashed field. The Herati pattern, seen throughout this piece, consists of a flower centered in a diamond with curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. A complementary Herati main border and a series of secondary borders with a variety of motifs, including cross and diamond, carnation meander, rosettes, and saw-tooth designs, frame the composition. The pleasing and versatile color palette of warm neutrals, pastels and navy-blue accents, combined with its timeless design, this vintage Persian Mahal rug would ground any space with its calm sophistication. Rendered in variegated shades of terra cotta, peach, burnt orange, salmon, camel, tan, ecru, beige, cream, light yellow, ocher, pistachio, leaf green, mauve, periwinkle, baby blue, navy blue, cobalt, ink blue and coffee.
