Woven in the first quarter of the 1900s, this piece features a classic all-over geometric and floral pattern set against a profound midnight blue field. Echoing the celebrated designs of 19th-century Ziegler Sultanabad carpets, this rug showcases large geometric forms and beautiful paisley motifs in a vibrant palette of French blue, green, pink, caramel, and brilliant ivory. A rich burgundy border with a symphony of blue, green, and pink designs perfectly frames the composition. The use of organic vegetable dyes adds a natural abrash effect, making this a truly unique and powerful piece of art.
