This antique Persian Malayer rug, handwoven in northwest Persia in the early 1900s, is a rare and exquisite example of village weaving at its finest. The rug features an elegant allover design set in a soft pale pink field, with motifs that echo the aesthetic principles of the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century. A delicate row of flowers, particularly striking in the lower portion of the field, enhances the rug’s timeless beauty and artistic appeal. The composition is framed by multiple borders in distinct designs and colors, adding rhythm and balance to the overall pattern.
