Sure to captivate the most discerning aesthete, this hand knotted wool vintage Persian Sarouk rug is the epitome of French Baroque Victorian style in one. A stunning testament to traditional Persian weaving, the abrashed peach field features a central cross medallion surrounded by an all-over floral pattern composed of rosettes, stylized florals, leafy tendrils, curved sickle leaves, deer, birds, and floral sprigs sprouting from a vase at either end. It is enclosed with a traditional rectilinear border flanked with an inner and outer diagonal striped guard band. Emanating grace and sumptuous refinement, this vintage Persian Mehraban rug would bring a sense of nostalgic charm to nearly any interior.
