Vintage Persian Senneh Area Rug, a true testament to the legendary weaving tradition of Senneh. Renowned worldwide for their exceptional beauty and remarkably fine, tight weave, Senneh rugs are considered among the most sophisticated of Persian textiles.
This captivating area rug features an elegant all-over Herati design, which has become a signature pattern for Senneh weavers. This intricate motif of rosettes within diamond lattices gracefully unfolds across a deep and commanding dark blue field color, creating a sophisticated and timeless backdrop.
This beautiful border is uniquely set on an abrash light blue/green color background, where subtle, natural tonal variations beautifully highlight the "foreign flower" motifs. This "abrash" effect, a result of traditional dyeing methods, adds a profound sense of patina and historical charm.
