On the Design:
This mid-20th-century masterpiece exemplifies the refined artistry of Tabriz workshops, where master weavers transformed traditional Persian miniature painting traditions into textile form, creating museum-quality decorative art suited for sophisticated interior applications. The central scene depicts three female figures in classical Persian costume—one reclining gracefully with flowing auburn hair, the other seated in contemplative pose with elaborate headdress and the third behind her. Their robes feature intricate pattern work rendered in soft blues and ivory with delicate gold highlights. The landscape setting reveals remarkable botanical accuracy—a central fruit tree with detailed foliage dominates the background, while scattered flowering plants and grasses create naturalistic ground cover.
The background features stylized cypress trees that establish spatial depth, while a distant water body adds atmospheric perspective. Grazing sheep populate the pastoral scene. The elaborate border features multiple guard borders with geometric and floral motifs that frame the central narrative without competing for attention.
