About the Item
A vibrant 100% wool Scandinavian flatweave by Hungarian-born artist, Eva Nemeth. 1950s. Woven in Budapest and sold by Ilums Bolighus in Copenhagen. Nemeth pieces are scarce- she was known as the “Bird Lady” of Scandinavian flatweaves, but studied at the Moholy-Nage University in Budapest.
This work is in beautiful condition and has just been professionally cleaned; showing faint signs of age and use but structurally sound and quite suitable for wall-hanging. 78” l 51” w. Rare item. Great warm colors.
