The jh shop’s collection of beautiful hand-woven wool rugs are playful and whimsical. They work well in a variety of interiors, though only those that are willing to not take themselves too seriously!
Aunt Maude was the guiding spirit as Jessica and her husband designed their home on Sauvie Island; a tall, thin spinster aunt who was always rather forbidding in high-necked crisply starched dresses. Aunt Maude dies, and as you are sorting through her things you find an incredible collection of lingerie and a bundle of letters from a Moroccan lover. On the rug version, we find young Aunt Maude, soaking in her bathtub, surrounded by kittens and plants, enjoying a glass of champagne.
Each of the rugs is offered in two colorways and three sizes. The rugs are reversible and can be customized in size for an additional fee.
Your rug will be handmade to order, with an approximate lead time of 16 weeks. Each rug is dyed and woven by hand; minor variability from rug-to-rug is expected and celebrated. Due to the custom nature of each piece, orders cannot be cancelled or modified after they are placed. All sales are final.
AVAILABLE SIZES: 5×8, 7×9, 8×11. Color samples available upon request for a small fee.
