Vintage Swedish 'Gripsholm Grön' Kilim Rollakan Rug, 140x200cm. Discover the beauty of the Swedish Kilims with this handwoven wool vintage rollakan rug. Featuring Biophilic Design and earthy colors, this piece offers a unique look. Colorful motifs frame the open field, creating a harmonious and versatile design. This rug's name, Gripsholm, comes from the Gripsholm Castle, in Södermanland, Sweden. Gripsholm has belonged to the Swedish royal family and was used as one of their residences until the 18th century. Gripsholm Castle is home to five hundred years of history. It features Sweden's finest examples of state apartments from the time of the House of Vasa, as well as one of Europe's best preserved 18th century theatres. The rug was made by Strehög, a famous Swedish Interior Textile manufacturer, established since 1879. Rendered in variegated shades of light green(grön) and beige with other accent colors, like:- olive, sky blue, beige, pistachio, avocado, blue, red, gold, light gray and brown. In very good used condition, except the fringes that show some wear.
