These photos represent a recently sold 9x12 Scandinavian rug, made with hand-knotted wool in a modern take on the Swedish minimalist aesthetic with a more formidable construction. This piece enjoys multiple shades of blue and beige arranged in graceful geometric patterns inspired by the Swedish deco and mid-century modern style. The rug gets its fabulous sense of dimensionality from the high-and-low texture that complements the consistency of its symmetry. R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s Scandinavian Collection is a contribution to the style, and a renaissance for its designs with more comfortable, current techniques.
