This 9x10 custom rug design is a new addition to the flatweaves in Rug
Kilim’s award-winning Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of vintage mid-century Swedish rug and textile designs of the Rollakhan and Rya sensibility.
On the Design:
These photos represent a recently sold 9x10 square rug, as well as an exciting variant of our “Nu” texture—a more warm, impressionistic take with a boucle-like texture of handspun yarns never before seen in these designs. Teal, pista green and celadon blue tones underscore rows of geometric patterns in the Swedish minimalist and Deco sensibility. Our modern flat weave further enjoys our reputed, heavier body with buckle resistance and greater durability against foot traffic. A comfortable, sophisticated contribution to the Swedish Deco aesthetic that both innovates and honors mid-century Scandinavian rugs.
