Handwoven in wool with a blend of undyed natural yarns, this modern flat-weave joins the latest additions to the Scandinavian Collection by Rug
Kilim, a celebration of Swedish modernism with new large scale geometry and exciting vintage colorways like that of their midcentury inspirations. The subtlety of the colorway variation in this piece—a muted purple tint in the prevailing tones of beige, cream, and peach colorway hues–is a remarkable complement to the geometry achieved by the aforementioned blend of yarns. This technique dually pays homage to the Scandinavian textile tradition of interweaving excess yarn as well as offers a character and sense of movement to the Classic geometry through these variations; a hallmark of this collection matched only by the weight and durability against buckling or shifting we’ve accomplished in this flat-weave line. Originating from one of our most reputed long-standing partner looms in India.
