Handwoven in wool with a blend of undyed natural yarns, this modern flat-weave design joins the latest additions to the Scandinavian collection by Rug
Kilim, a custom-capable celebration of Swedish modernism with new large scale geometry and exciting vintage colorways like that of their midcentury inspirations. Neutral tones of beige brown bring out the crisp, bright white of the chessboard cross pattern, a notably bright hue formerly unachievable in the history of Scandinavian flat weaves, with subtle variations like that of an abrashed colorway created through the aforementioned blend of natural, undyed yarns. This homage to the Scandinavian tradition of interweaving excess yarn creates a sense of movement and distinction in the colorway akin to a trademark of our flat-weave line, matched only in quality by the durability and weight in this line lending the piece resistance to buckling and shifting underfoot. A remarkable gift-sized rug originating from one of our most reputed long-standing partner looms in India.
