Kilim. Handwoven in wool and natural yarns, its design reflects a contemporary take on mid-century Rollakans and Swedish Deco style.
On the Design:
This new flat weave reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction. Our use of undyed natural yarns, for example, lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a nod to Scandinavian technique in a modern fashion. The choice of colors, too, explores their retro feel in a more refreshing quality.
These photos represent an 8x10 Kilim in this construction that favors cream yellow tones and moss green geometric patterns. It’s a thoughtful balance of new and chic that brings mid-century geometric patterns a fabulous new look and feel.
