From our exquisite range of weather tested outdoor kilim rugs, this piece is durable, sustainable and equivally formidable in body to our primary Scandinavian Kilim line. On the Design: This rug enjoys light and cool gray and white tones underscoring geometric patterns in both a grid and chevrons —very keeping with the Swedish minimalist style that inspired this collection. Keen eyes will admire a look of striae and subtle color variation. This proprietary technique both honors mid-century weaving techniques and creates a modern take on a vintage abrashed look. The result is a subtle compliment to the sense of movement that plays beautifully with this comfortable Swedish-style pattern. Our flatweave’s more durable, weighted body is also a hallmark of the collection, made for high-traffic and heavy-furniture spaces. This, alongside several elements detailed here, represent R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s hope to honor this mid-century modern aesthetic. His Scandinavian Collection is a contribution to that style, and a renaissance for its designs with more comfortable, current techniques.
