This 8x10 custom rug design is an exciting new addition to Rug Kilim's Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish Minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions. On the Design These photos represent a recently sold 8x10 rug in this line, with geometric patterns in bright, soothing tones of cream-white, light blue, and beige, as well as a subtle element of striation in the colors made from our blend of undyed, natural yarns. This proprietary technique of ours that both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style. Admirers of the craft may note this is also a nod to traditional Scandinavian weaving techniques in a contemporary fashion—an inventive new technique that honors the foundations of this historic mid-century modern movement. These and the many other beauties at play reflect the soul of the collection, which is a contribution of smart, current elements to an iconic movement in rug and textile design.
