Handwoven in wool with a blend of undyed natural yarns, this modern flat-weave joins the latest additions to the Scandinavian collection by Rug
Kilim, a celebration of Swedish modernism with new large scale geometry and exciting vintage colorways like that of their midcentury inspirations. Designers and connoisseurs will note the subtle colorway variations within the Moroccan-style geometry, bringing the Mid-Century Modern pattern to life with a distinctive abrashed look created by our aforementioned interweaving of undyed natural yarns. This innovative homage to a traditional Scandinavian weaving technique complements this transitional rug in particular with the movement between its beige-brown, off-white, gray, and blue hues complementing the subtle high-low texture in the diamond patterns. The remarkable skill taken in this marriage of pattern and color is exceeded only by the durability and weight, a feature of our Scandinavian Kilim line lending resistance to buckling and shifting underfoot unlike vintage Scandinavian counterparts.
