This 10x14 Swedish style kilim rug is from the award-winning Scandinavian rug collection by Rug
Kilim. Handwoven in wool,and undyed, natural yarns, this flatweave is inspired by Swedish Deco Rollakan and Rya rugs.
On the Design:
In this comfortable piece, beige-brown tones underscore light blue and gray accents in geometric patterns - both a grid and ‘hourglass’ motifs inspired by works in the Swedish minimalist style
Smart play of neturals and earth tones beside cool, playful contemporary hues lends a comfortable yet personal vibe. Keen eyes will admire undyed, natural yarns interwoven for a look of striae and subtle color variation. This proprietary technique both honors mid-century weaving techniques and creates a modern take on a vintage abrashed look. The result is a subtle compliment to the sense of movement that plays beautifully with this comfortable Swedish-style pattern.
