About the Item

This 9x12 flat weave is a new addition to the Scandinavian Kilim collection by Rug Kilim. Handwoven in wool and natural yarns, its design reflects a contemporary take on mid-century Rollakans and Swedish Deco style. On the Design: This new flat weave reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction. Our use of undyed natural yarns, for example, lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a subtle nod to Rollakan techniques in a modern fashion. The choice of colors, too, explores their retro feel in a more refreshing style.This particular Kilim enjoys a smart use of neutrals in beige and gray geometric patterns with bright white accents. It’s a thoughtful balance of new and chic that brings mid-century geometric patterns a fabulous new look and feel. Our flat weave further enjoys a thick, more durable body than any flat weave in high-end rugs.
