This 4 x 6 flat weave is a bold new addition to the Scandinavian collection by Rug
Kilim. Handwoven in wool and natural yarns, its design reflects a contemporary take on midcentury Rollakans and Swedish Deco style.
On the design:
This new flat weave reinvents vintage Scandinavian Kilim in ways that both honor the Swedish minimalist aesthetic and modernize its construction. Our use of undyed natural yarns, for example, lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a subtle nod to Rollakan techniques in a modern fashion. The choice of colors, too, explores their retro feel in a more refreshing quality. This particular Kilim enjoys geometric patterns in sage green and ice blue with crisp off-white accents and cool tones. It’s a thoughtful use of distinct, yet complementary hues that lends mid-century chic a fabulous new look and feel.
Our flat weave further enjoys a thick, more durable body than any flat weave in high-end rugs. It’s a hallmark of our Kilim design, and another contemporary contribution to the Scandinavian aesthetic that sits comfortably anywhere.
