Kilim’s Scandinavian Collection, this 9x12 rug is handwoven in a new flat weave construction using a blend of wool and exotic yarns–the soft new texture inspired by alpaca yarns.

Admirers of the craft may admire our Swedish flatweave rug with an exemplary blend of wool and exotic yarns complementing the varied hues with a striated, abrashed look. Keen eyes may admire the “S” style geometric pattern in subtle tones of beige-brown, terracotta, mauve and cream—offering exceptional pagination
movement in a modern scale. Connoisseurs may admire this proprietary technique of ours that both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style.
Our flatweave’s more durable, weighted body is also a hallmark of the collection, made for high-traffic and heavy-furniture spaces. This, alongside several elements detailed here, represent R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s hope to honor this mid-century modern aesthetic.
