Handwoven in a wool flatweave, this 4x12 runner rug is an exciting new addition to Rug
Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the Design:
Keen eyes will appreciate a blend of undyed, natural yarns complementing the varied hues with a striated, abrashed look. This subtle intricacy both brings out the movement and pays homage to a traditional Scandinavian weaving technique alike. In this piece, a beige field with hints of sage green underscores geometric patterns in cream white and light blue, with gentle variations in the colors from the aforementioned weaving style. Admirers of the craft will appreciate this proprietary technique of ours that both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style.
Our flatweave’s more durable, weighted body is also a hallmark of the collection, made for high-traffic and heavy-furniture spaces.
