Made with hand-knotted wool, this 10x14 contemporary rug is an exciting new addition to Rug
Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the Design:
This design enjoys geometric patterns in tones of blue, green, gray and beige. Our use of undyed natural yarns further lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a subtle nod to Rollakan techniques in a modern fashion. Admirers of the craft will note this proprietary technique of ours that both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style. The piece’s strength is in its subtlety—where slight color variations lend an element of personal to the more cozy repetition.
