On the design:
This particular rug draws on principles of the Swedish Grace movement, and pays homage to a Martha Gahn-esque interpretation of Art Deco geometry through a distinctly Nordic lens. The composition orchestrates a precise diagonal rhythm in terracotta and sage, punctuated by delicate geometric motifs that float within stepped patterns. Most compelling is Gahn's sophisticated handling of scale — where miniature architectural elements create a mesmerizing counterpoint to the bold diagonal movement. This is Swedish Grace at its most refined, where Deco's characteristic boldness finds expression through controlled palette and precision. The overall effect suggests both modernist restraint and the decorative confidence of 1930s Scandinavian design evolution.
