Handwoven in wool, this 4x6 rug is an exciting new addition to Rug
Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the Design:
This rug enjoys simple geometric patterns in cool light blue, cream and seafoam tones. The intricate detailing and the play of subtle accents lend a sense of movement and a welcoming presence - marking our unique take on Swedish Deco style. Keen eyes will admire undyed, natural yarns interwoven for a look of striae and subtle color variation. This proprietary technique of ours both innovates and honors mid-century weaving techniques inherent to Scandinavian style. The result is a rich, immersive and sophisticated contribution to an iconic style for luxury interiors today.
Our flatweave’s more durable, weighted body is also a hallmark of the collection, made for high-traffic and heavy-furniture spaces. This, alongside several elements detailed here, represent R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s hope to honor this mid-century modern aesthetic.
