About the Item

This is a vintage Swedish Rya runner woven during the mid-20th century circa 1950 – 1970’s and measures 334 x 115 cm in size. This runner is designed with large-scale plants with multi-colored pedals set on a gray background color. It has been woven with high piled shaggy wool that creates a fuzzy visual effect. A unique feature of this piece is the weaver’s decision to use multi-colored tones to design each pedal Providing depth and dimension to each pedal within the field. This technique prevents the rug from having a monotone design. This Swedish runner has been preserved in overall great condition and is ready to be incorporated in any modern or classical setting to provide a unique designer piece.
