30931 New Swedish Inspired Kilim Rug, 09'00 x 12'00.
Scandinavian Modern meets Cubist Minimalism in this handwoven wool Swedish-inspired kilim rug. The simplistic linear design and minimal color scheme woven into this piece share a common theme of balaned portions and clean lines while simutaneously introducing a modern visual tempo. The neutral beige colored field sets the scene for the horizontal slate blue and brown lines. Vertical wavy bands run from top bottom interrupting the continuity forming a grid-like pattern. A series of stripes run along the width at either end creating definition and a sense of order. The architectural design elements embodies a minimalist sensibility of cubism while accommodating to the Scandinavian way of life.
Rendered in variegated shades of beige, slate blue, gray, brown and maroon with other analogous colors.
