In this captivating handwoven wool Swedish-inspired kilim rug, Scandinavian Modern style meets the tranquil essence of Biophilic Design. The mesmerizing geometric patterns and earthy color palette blend beautifully, creating a genuinely distinctive and enchanting look. Inspired by Irma Kronlund's "Blames" design, named after the European Blue Tit local to Vaxjo in south-central Sweden, this modern flatweave rug infuses nearly any home with a touch of nature's elegance.
Vertical blue tone-on-tone stripes gracefully set the stage for the rug's centerpiece. An allover pattern of three-barred cross motifs alternates vertically with another series of three-barred cross motifs, creating a rhythmic and balanced composition. Short pillar bands, composed of solid and striped sections, sequence together to cultivate a stunning juxtaposition, adding depth and intrigue to the design. The meticulous handweaving process highlights the intricate details, making each element beautifully stand out.
